Appalachian’s Department of Chemistry 和 Fermentation Sciences is an accredited program of the American Chemical Society (ACS), 和 students are able to graduate with an ACS certificate. Its 项目 are multi-disciplinary 和 combine innovative 和 intellectually challenging curriculum, scholarship 和 service/engagement opportunities that employ state-of-the-art technologies. 关于 half of all chemistry majors conduct research directly with a faculty member 和 present at national or regional conferences. There is no graduate program in chemistry at Appalachian, so the 29 faculty members focus entirely on undergraduates.
